This course is an intermediate course intended to give the student a proficiency in intermediate level theory and piano.

The course will offer a geographical learning approach to music. The main objective will be to visit several continents to explore their musical contributions to the world. Through this endeavor, students will be exposed to geography, many different cultures and their instruments. The course will place an added focus on music's important role in the structuring of this diverse world we live in. We will attempt to foster an appreciation of music from all over the world.

This course will expose the students to Rag time, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, early Rock and Roll, R & B, Funk, Pop, House and Hip-Hop music genres. The purpose of this class is to provide an enhancement of cultural pride and historical awareness by exploring the fact that “American Music” is “African American Music” as the heritage of modern day music is given a magnified glimpse. The course will display how an American culture, which is imitated all over the world, is primarily indigenous of African American culture.

Technology course offering...This course will discuss contracts, publishing, basic economic concepts and other basic concepts of business.The student will be exposed to the software that is used in the recording industry. We will attempt to produce and record music. We will also expose the student to basic cinematic concepts in an attempt to make a video or short film.
